Department Announces Alumni Photo Contest
It’s time to show the mining engineers and geologists of tomorrow what Wildcat success looks like!
The Lowell Institute for Mineral Resources and the Mining and Geological Engineering Department at the University of Arizona are excited to announce the 2020 photo contest. The inaugural creative competition is open to all alumni of mining and geological engineering as well as economic geology.
The photo submission deadline concluded on April 12, 2020. Be on the lookout for winners to be announced later this semester!
Capture Your Best Moments, On and Off the Field
“We are so proud of our alumni,” said Moe Momayez, interim department head of mining and geological engineering. “You roam remote corners of the world, scale the highest mountains and descend deep into the earth to find game-changing resources. You create sophisticated safety sensors, autonomous equipment and real-time data analysis.”
This is an opportunity for alumni to inspire, inform and awe the mining engineers and geologists of tomorrow. Landscapes, technology, equipment, objects, sites, projects and people -- the image possibilities are endless.
