MGE Invention Slows Water Evaporation, Generates Energy

Hexocover, a new technology invented by associate professor Moe Momayez and Nathan Barba of RePower Design, conserves water in mining tailings ponds by preventing evaporation.
The tech is comprised of floating hexagonal plastic panels that sandwich 4-inch balls linked together. When configured with solar cells, the panels can also generate electricity.
