Tenorio Presents at International Engineering Conference

On Nov. 13 and 14, 2019, MGE professor of practice Victor Tenorio traveled with Young-Jun Son and Vignesh Subbian, of the Department of Systems and Industrial Engineering, to present research at INGENIATEC 2019, an international engineering congress organized by students from the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Cananea, or ITSC, in Sonora, Mexico. This was the first time University of Arizona professors presented at the Mexican university, as part of developing relations between the two institutions. 

Rumbo Minero, a Peruvian mining magazine, invited Tenorio and Son onto their TV program for a segment covering the conference and a visit to the nearby Buena vista del Cobre mine.

"The University of Arizona is also closing a potential agreement with ITSC so that Cananea graduate students can pursue postgraduate studies at the University of Arizona," Tenorio said on-site at the mine.
