STEAMworks Exhibit Highlights Mining Sustainability

On Thursday, April 14, hundreds of high school and college students took to the UA Student Union for STEAMworks, a new exhibition for the creative side of science and engineering innovation.

Among the varied offerings was the Modern Mining booth, which allowed interested young engineers to investigate the impact of mining on Arizona’s economy and to explore the changing nature of the discipline as it embraces sustainability.
