Heath Awarded 2016 SME Fellowship

Gail Heath, an adjunct instructor and doctoral student in the University of Arizona department of mining and geological engineering, received the 2016 Robert S. Shoemaker PhD Fellowship Grant from the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration Inc.

The award is part of the SME PhD Fellowship and Academic Career Development Grants, which aim to build a pipeline from U.S. mining schools to tenure-track positions in mining engineering, mineral processing and extractive metallurgy.
