In an article in American Coal magazine (PDF), University Distinguished Professor Mary M. Poulton outlines the history of the Arizona School of Mines and introduces the new face of mining:
Students are, and always have been, at the heart of the UA’s MGE programs. The UA has a legacy of producing leaders for the coal sector and, indeed, the entire mining industry.
