  • 15th Annual W.C. Lacy Distinguished Lecture: A Tribute to J. David Lowell 
    Join us in celebrating the life of J. David Lowell (BS mining engineering, 1949). Lowell, who passed away at the age of 92 in summer 2020, was one of the industry’s most successful entrepreneurs. He is credited with discovering the world’s largest copper deposit, Escondida in Chile.
